NY Jets: Is Carter Warren an NFL-ready backup or a project?

New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas has a clear mission statement: build through the trenches.

Since becoming the Jets GM, Douglas has invested plenty into the offensive line, using multiple first-round picks and signing multiple free agents to large contracts. Those big-ticket additions make up the core of the Jets’ offensive line, but strengthening the unit’s depth is also extremely important.

That depth needs to come from Douglas’ lower-tier pickups, such as 2023 fourth-round pick Carter Warren, who started 39 games at left tackle for the Pittsburgh Panthers.
